Charlize Theron is a new mother. You’d think that because she’s a single mom now (“Sisters are doing it for themselves,” as Jon Hamm would say), she would go The Sandra Bullock Route and allow her image to be remade into a family-friendly vision of motherly love. But Charlize is not Sandra Bullock. Charlize likes boys, and boys like Charlize. So while we’re hearing a little bit about Charlize’s son Jackson, we’re hearing even more about Charlize’s potential boyfriends. Personally, I think Charlize would LOVE a ride on the Fassbender train – but I don’t think he’s into it. He doesn’t go for tall blondes. Fortunately, there’s one Viking who does like lithe blondes, and that’s Alexander Skarsgard. Alex and Charlize had a much-rumored rendezvous back in early March – they were said to be cuddled up and “together” at a bar. Now Us Weekly claims that they went on a “second date”:
Charlize Theron, who adopted son Jackson in March, went on a second date with Alexander Skarsgard on April 6 at West Hollywood’s Soho House. Though the duo – who hung out March 3 at the area’s Gym Sports bar – were with a group, “she rested her head on his shoulder and they looked very couple-y,” says an onlooker. Explains a Theron source, “It isn’t serious. And no, he has not met the baby!”

All I heard there was “casual sex”. Is that what this is – something casual, something not at all serious because Alex doesn’t want to get serious with a single mother and Charlize doesn’t want to get serious with a Viking? If it’s just physical… sure. I find their brother-sister appearances creepy though.
But that’s not the only man Charlize might have coming around. In Touch Weekly (yeah) claims that Charlize and Keanu Reeves have been spending more time together too. Inevitably, the tabloids really want Sad Keanu and Charlize to happen – there were lots of rumors about them right after Charlize and Stuart Townsend broke up.
First comes love and marriage, then the baby carriage? Not for Charlize Theron. Now that she’s a single mom to adopted son Jackson, Charlize is looking for a baby daddy. And the 36-year-old actress has her sights set on her longtime friend — and rumored former beau — Keanu Reeves!
A pal says the Sweet November co-stars have gotten closer since Charlize brought home Jackson and friends think a rekindled romance is inevitable. “They were friends with benefits in the past,” the friend says, “but now it’s something more.”
So is Keanu, 47, dad material? “He babysits and brings toys when he visits Charlize and Jackson,” the friend reports. “He even built the crib and changes diapers!” Sounds like a keeper!

Agreed. And then soon after, the girl who was his girlfriend and the mother of his daughter also died. He hasn’t had an easy personal life. I hope he and Charlize fall in love and raise that baby together. He seems really stable and about as “normal” as someone can be in the Hollywood game. I wish them the best.

@Gwen, I agree. Alex is not a stranger to dating a woman with children, so I have no doubts he’d be perfectly ok with Jackson. I think he’d be so good with kids too. Just the thought of him with the little girl from What Maisie Knew was enough to melt your heart into a puddle of goo!
I don’t know why people keep insisting that Alex has a “type” of woman when it comes to hair color. He’s dated one blonde, now maybe two, and several brunettes. The only type I don’t know of is a red-head.

i think the video is on pop sugar or something. the driver is brunette, but she’s been seen in pics with charlize (she’s her production bff or something) but alex is talking to a blonde ducking on the floor of the backseat, who is thought to be charlize, which makes sense seeing as the only reason to hide in the back would be if that person was famous. if she wasn’t charlize (or famous for that matter), why hide?

I don’t think Alex would have a problem with the baby – he had a long time relationship with a single mom back home. I do hope – for the sake of the baby – that Charlize takes her time before introducing Jackson to a potential father-figure though. If she and Alex (or any other man) are just trying a relationship out for size (he he), I hope she waits. I don’t see how it can be much more that for fun at the moment given how much both of them are working.

Well, Jackson’s an infant, so it’s not like he’s going to really remember anyone at this point.
Her son is just a baby, practically a newborn. His Mom is his entire world right now. He isn’t going to take the slightest notice of anybody else.
Wasn’t he around 4 months when the news came out? That would make him around 6 months now. Personally I would think he needed stability the most – and Charlize too, given that she (per Lainey at least) has been waiting for this for a long time. So no, Jackson might not remember much later but what happens in his life now still has a big impact on him. But what do I know. I may just be sceptical because I don’t see them as a couple who would last in the long run..
She is the most beautiful actress around. Angelina is stunning too, but her skinny body and toothpick legs are no match for Charlize’s gorgeous figure.

I’m actually more curious about whether or not she’s still a huge pot smoker. Firstly, because she has a baby to take care of and anesthetizing yourself is not conducive to bonding with your newly adopted child, and secondly, some men are just not into women that are (or soon will be) high.

Keanu seems like the type of guy who has really strong friendships with women- he has been close with Sandra B. for 15+ years (when she was in hiding after the Jesse James scandal, he was seen coming and going from her house) and when Charlize broke up with Stuart Townsend, there were photos of Keanu and Charlize hugging goodbye after dinner. I could be wrong, but the video of that goodbye looked like two platonic friends (granted, in Hollywood everyone kisses hello and goodbye, so it was more tactile that you or I might be with an opposite sex friend).

I find the level to which you are discussing this disturbing (in a nice way). The majority of celeb stories/photos are PR planted….to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Not as gospel. None of us know anything really about these people’s lives.
